ENDOCRINE SYSTEM INTRODUCTION:-
gland are secrete their product (hormones) direct into blood
rather than through a duct.

HORMONES DEFINATION:-
hormones are chemical messenger synthesized by endocrine gland.

TWO TYPE OF HORMONES:-
PROTEIN HORMONES:-are secrete by pituitary gland,parathyroid gland and pancrese.
STEROID HORMONES;-are secrete by gonads,placenta,adrenal and cortex.

1.PITUITARY GLAND:-
*it is small endocrine gland,diameter 1cm.
*weight 0.5 to 1gm.
*present in spehnoid bone,below the hypothalamus.
*it is pea shaped.

CONSIST OF TWO PART
1.ANTERIOR:-six type of hormones produce
2.POSTERIOR:-2type of hormones produce.

ANTERIOR PITUITARY HORMONES:-
1.thyroid stimulating hormones
2.adrenocorticotropic hormones
3growth hormones.
4.folicle stmulating hormones
5.luteinizing hormones
6.prolectin

POSTERIOR PITUITARY HORMONES:-
1.anti diluting hormones
2.oxytoxin

GROWTH HOEMONES DESCRIBE:-
*growth hormones work full body
*development of hight
*essential for all tissue of the body
*synthesis and secrete pituitary gland.

ACTION OF GROWTH HORMONES:-
*IN MINERAL METABOLISM:-increse calcium absorvation from GIT.
-decrese potassium,sodium.

*ON PROTEIN METABOLISM:-
-GH is protein anabolic hormones.

*IN CORBOHYDRATES:-
-GH is diabogenic because is produce hyperglycemia.

*IN FAT METABOLISM:-

1.GIGANTISM:-
*it is pituitary disorder
*development of excess growth of body.
*subject height increase 7 to 8 feet.

CAUSES:-
*gigantism is due to hypersecration of GH in child and adult.

SIGNS AND SYSTEM:-
*general over growth of person development huge.
*hight more than 7 or 8 feet
*gients are hyperglycemic and they develop glycuria amd pituitary diabetus.
*large hand and feet.

2.DWARFISM;-
*deficiency of growth hormones secretion.

CAUSES:-
*gh of deficiency
*deficiency of somatomedin-c
*degeneration of acidophelic.

SIGN AND SYMTOMS:-
*primary symtomes in pituitarism in children maximum height is 3 feet.
*diffrent part of body is normal ,but head only slighty larger.
*reproductive function is not affected.
